Awesome arrangement of a Bruce Springsteen song. Thank you Manfred Mann's Earth Band for making this one of the most memorable songs ever!

Manfred's first version is on "Nightingales and Bombers". It's approximately the same arrangement as this version. However, while it is (imho) a great version, it features Mick Rogers on both vocals and lead guitar.

It was re-recorded with Chris Thompson, the vocalist in this video, after "Blinded by the Light" became a hit. That shorter version is available as a bonus cut on the remastered "The Roaring Silence" and some hits collections.

Manfred Mann's Earth Band did about studio 15 albums. Some were nearly all original. Most were over half original. I believe there were four with more covers than originals.

The covers, as they were done very well, received the most attention. But they did some brilliant original songs, too!

Both versions are awesome, this has a much more psychadelic feel than The Boss's
