Also, the Magpul stock that I bought didn't need to re-use the original plate or nut which is a great thing since I pretty much scratched the sh!t out of the nut because I didn't have a spanner wrench.

I just bought a stock CMMG AR-15, do I need to buy a different buffer tube if I wmat to put a magpul stock on?

@wyman2271 No you don't but you need to find out if CMMG uses the commercial or mil-spec tube so you can buy the correct size stock. If you take your current buttstock off, take a look at the buffer tube you have on there. If it has a slightly slanted end, you have a commercial. If you have a flat end, you have a mil-spec size tube.
