Chemicals are very bad for your drain! If Drain-O or Liquid Plumber work so well, why are drain cleaners still in business? We've been in the business for 30 years, and can attest to the fact that chemicals cause more problems then they are worth. Plus, we've had to take a few guys to hospital b/c the customer used chemicals and didn't tell us. Don't use them! If you do, make sure to tell the plumber when you decide to get the job fixed right...

Just go to the dollar store and pick up a gallon of bleach and dump it in and wait.
It eats up the hair which is always clogging the shower drains. It's better for the environment and will actually kill some germs and bacteria in the water on it's journey out to the ocean!
