  • Anyone else have a slight feeling he uses Music Man guitars, Red Bear picks and Ernie Ball strings?

  • Transport the rig? He never leaves the house. Why do you think he plays like that?

  • Lol the one that is "the hardest lick" is the eisiest one!

  • @BraydonSzafranski So do i. Its probably just the way that was comfortable for me. Its not rong to pick from your wrist go for it!

  • john petrucci wannabe much

  • @BraydonSzafranski i pick with the elbow joint. i know it's not recommended, but i've spent my first year of playing with my elbow joint. after a year's worth of brutal tremolo picking i've gotten so used to it, i can't hope to play with my wrist now without essentially re-learning guitar all together.

  • I respect the man who shreds so beautifully, on that sexy 7.

  • On fast runs he picks with from the ELBOW JOINT WTF

  • @nmtp666 - The video series is called "Elf Riffs", named after the legendary progressive / fusion / hard rock trio, Magic Elf. Carl Roa is the guitar player in that band, original member. Awesome band! Kind of like Rush meets Holdsworth meets Led Zep meets the Dregs meets Yngwie meets Liquid Tension Expermnt etc. Hard to describe, but there are audio samples at their site, magicelf.com. Glad to see Carl out doing these vids, very cool.

  • @nmtp666 Pause the video at 0:02 and read

  • imagine him without the guitar from 0:37 to 0:45. it almost looks like he's jacking off.

  • i know this question must have been asked too many times but im just wondering why are they called elf riifs? why elf? sorry guys
