Paul Gilbert Signature Model parametric Equalizer pedal from H.B.E. Homebrew Electronix. Pretty cool idea really...especially if you're playing an amp with only a couple of tone knobbies on it. I didn't spend enough time with it, but then again, I never do, but after listening to the clips while editing, I really dig the pedal...plus, Paul Gilbert pretty much rocks ass! I used a http://www.kingbeeguitars.com relic Telecaster and a http://www.jaguaramplification.com Jaguar Twin Amplifier. Very affordable pedal, which is what we all need!

  • @TheChazmatazz It's basically an equalizer with a really sensitive level switch, it can boost it or clean it up depending on it's setting,

  • This has gotta be Jack Black....anyhooo, I still don't see why this is a better option than just rolling of some volume on the guitar or switching from saturated distortion back to your crunch/rhythm sound. I love Paul Gilbert but I just don't get this one...

  • nevermind didnt wait to watch the whole video. PHAIL

  • awww gearmandude! no snakeskin cowboy boots today?

  • i definitely would do better in an effects loop or after your gain pedals. its like the tone control in all our pedals and amplifers. it wants to see a larger than life amplifed signal by our pedals or amplifer

  • Sounds like Jack Black testing it.

  • geezzzz man, youve spent sooo much cash on all this gear that your shoes are fucked...!! fair play man...!!

  • @kakan147 no. compressors dont clean up your sound

  • so it works a little like a compressor?

  • wow it's like having a separate treble bleed!
