Stage 6 boss Mikoto Yaobi's theme.
HUZZAH!! Some kind soul decided to translate the songs into English! :D It makes me so happy. Not to mention their stories too!

Mikoto Yaobi
Mother Spring of the Sea

Species: God
Ability: Able to create life.

Mikoto used to live in a lake, where many of those who earned her favor served her as the mistress.
Though she was able to live a normal life there, she wasn't satisfied with the lake.

"If I had the power to do so, I could make this place thrive with lives,
But there are limits to this body of water..."

Creating "the egg of life" in the waters of the lake would only result in its destruction.
However, her unhappiness was gone the moment she discovered a stone mill.
The stone mill was a mysterious mill that, if sunk under a body of water, would turn the body of water to that of life -- the water of the sea.
Thanks to this stone mill, she was able to create life forms.

"I guess it was a good idea to let you have my stone mill!
　I'll give you this stone mill as a present for you!"

A girl that appeared out of nowhere turned the lake into a small sea.
The salt created "the water that never decays", and thus various life-forms thrived in the sea,
But after a few days they all died off.
It was because the water was too salty
To handle this problem it was a good idea to get rid of the stone mill, but the owner of the mill said:

"Well then let's enlarge the sea."

Not to mention that it was an incomprehensible solution, the biggest problem was that it would take a long time.
However, the girl dug a hole in the ground, upon which she would rain large amounts of sea water from the sky.
As she gathered the rain clouds and rain poured on the grounds, the sea was enlarged.

Thanks to the girl that suddenly appeared to her, Mikoto's dissatisfaction was gone.
She even wondered if this was all a dream.
Mikoto had nothing that could be of a gift of gratitude for the girl,
But she decided to at least express her gratitude by offering her to stay at the main hall.

Btw they totally changed the first boss' theme, and I think I prefer the old one.. not sure what else changed besides the updated Music Room, endings and staff roll. My links to the old version still work if anyone wants.

@KlLLAH573 The game is still incomplete, really. I'm sure after the author finishes all the music and Otohime's spellcards, he'll work on the rest of the character sprites.

In my opinion, this game has more creative danmaku than ZUN's games. I mean, Megumi's spellcards force you to stay inside a particular circle. And Tubame's are just really cool, if not annoying.

It's probably blasphemous to say this, but I don't care. This game beats Ten Desires anyday.

@Ritsuioko23 Agreed. Although it could use some improvement, I think Marine Benefit is the best Touhou fan-made shmup, no need for a separate cumbersome and idiosyncratic program like Danmakufu.

I hope the author finishes it into a fully-developed game.
