Ask any ‘Nam Vet to watch this & you'll see how powerful this commercial (?) really is. When you watch this piece for the first four minutes, you have no idea of what you're watching. This is NOT (in my opinion) a commercial of (or by) FoMoCo as much as it is a tribute to the American Veteran. You could have substituted a Camaro, Vette, or Challenger and lost none of what this video represented. Thank God for YouTube that it will continue long past it's (few) broadcasts.

well yes it is a corporation but mustangs do have a very long history of representing the american motor industry. I think its alright for Ford to refer to that history in their promotion.
