I can read very well thanks, and i enjoy it! Yes, there is plenty of tone in writing, perhaps i should have phrased it better: text CAN be misleading, and it's impossible to be as precise as the spoken word with nuances and all kinds of subtle expression. "Thanks for your advice though - i can't wait to take a look at McGuffey and Dr Seuss" (so tell me, am I being sarcastic in the last sentence?! Possibly, huh? but you can't be sure ;-))
-
"no tone of voice"--you must not enjoy reading if you can't detect nuances in others' writing. start with mcguffey's eclectic reader and then go on to dr. seuss and before you know it, the intricacies of reading comprehension will be a snap....mrremedialpiano.

ahh. it's almost impossible to tell melliflous words from real bile in print online. No tone of voice you see. Well.. pleased to meet you .. meathead
-
just pullin' your pud, you dumb-cluck.
don't let comments by an anonymous person get you down, piano, just let the mellifluous words melt over you and be happy you aren't spewing vile bile in my presence or dan maskel's. we'd kick your liberal pansy ass all over the british isles.
-
and you strike me as being a very rude, agressive, troubled person (abused by your mom or dad as a kid?) devoid of class or talents of any kind... just a guess
-
all right, i should have figured you for a fist-in-ass, man.
-
It takes more than the fact I happen not to have had my teeth jammed down my throat by a fist to make me happy. Would it be that i was so simple minded and easily satisfied with life.
-
quit your whining and be happy you haven't had your teeth jammed down your throat followed by a fist.

Dan Maskel the old fart. His commentary was Sooo wooden. How the hell did he hold down the job for so long. Establishmentism and elitism is how. He embodied the embarrasisng upper class image of british tennis. When they finally did awya with him the image of tennis finally had a chance to mvoe in Briatin (although it still hasn't.. much)
I liked Mayotte, he was a fine grass player with a good Wimbledon record. Was in the top ten and but kind of never quite made it to the very top (in terms of winning a Slam).
