mr. heron will remain a lyrical genius to me and to babytaylorm post, you are right on point! too many judge harshly and those are the ones who will never understand that, to err is human.

@chavillia He was never locked up 10 years for conspiracy. He was arrested several times and served time off and on for cocaine possession, contempt of court and parole violation. He his had problems like everyone else. However, it's not worth mentioning compared to his legendary body of works. His accomplishments far exceed his mistakes. Thanks Gil.

It is so sad to see such a talented man like Gil on drugs. Something that he has talked down on in his art! He is one of my biggest influenes! I wouldn't of never started writing poetry myself if it wasn't for this man. Get well soon my brother, I'll keep you in my prayers!

There is no need to insult people--especially when they are correct. Unfortunately, Gil has been arrested several times on crack/cocaine charges. He has admitted it in interviews. As a matter of fact, he was arrested in October. Our brother is struggling right now and needs our help.
