aaGhaaz to hotaa hai anjaam nahiiN hotaa
jab merii kahaanii meN vo naam nahiiN hotaa
jab zulf kii kaalikh meN ghul jaaye ko'ii raahii
bad-naam sahii lekin gum-naam nahiiN hotaa
haNs haNs ke javaaN dil ke ham kyouN na chune TukRe
har shaKhs kii qismat meN ina'am nahiiN hotaa
bahte hu'e aaNsuu ne aaNkhoN se kahaa tham kar
jo mae se pighal jaaye vo jaam nahiiN hotaa
din Duube haiN yaa Duubii baaraat liye kashtii
saahil pe magar ko'ii kohraam nahiiN hotaa
Translation :
It begins but I see no avail, no end
Often I don't see his presence in my life
When someone is deeply in love with someone
one may get bad name but does not go in oblivion
Why should not I collect with laugh, the pieces of my broken heart?
Afterall not everyone gets the reward

So much meaning and so beautiful. She poured her heart out with this poetry. "Why should I not collect with laugh, the pieces of my broken heart? Ag=fter all not everyone gets the reward" --- such beautiful words. Meenaji was truly a magnificant talent.

@indianweera -- I think yours is closer in meaning because "koraam" is commotion or disturbance. In other words, the shoreline remains undisturbed, irrespective of whatever has sunk at sea. The larger meaning of course, is that whatever the personal drama or grief, the universe remains unaffected by our trials and tribulations. She was a great poet.
