Arson? I have watched a number of these videos and frankly I would be surprised to see a house that wasn't a total loss. The response times are slow... the men on the ground react VERY slowly... many putting on equipment AFTER they have arrived... a lot of standing around... guys without a hose... I have been getting angry email because of my comments. These are videos of what is actually happening.. I am not making this shit up. IMPROVE instead of defending poor performance.....

My best friends house burned to the ground in urban houston texas. He lives 1mile from the closest fire station. It was not arson. It was the same size as the house in this video. A fire like this is not always arson!

@cats400 Dear cats400. I'm sorry for your best friend losing her house. In this case in Washougal, the fire was ruled arson, and it was the wife of the household who did it. She has been arrested and is waiting trial which is supposed to start this month. Very sad story for our neighborhood.

I am no fire investigator but taking a guess here I would suspect arson and an accelerant was used. A home that big to be that involved just doesn't seem right.

@UtahMike41 The week after the fire, the news reported that the fire marshal had determined it was arson and had given evidence to the county prosecutor. No news of any arrests in the 6 months since. No news of any kind as followup.

Yes. This house is in rural Washougal. It was not under construction. According to the local news, the house was in foreclosure and the home was empty, but it is a sketchy story. Thanks for the compliment on the video. I was using my small point and shoot camera which I had with me on my bicycle when I captured this video. I was impressed as to how well it came out.
