Jackman isn't too happy about a mobile phone going off during his Broadway show.

  • also think about it like this- the mothafucker worked hard to get where he is, he's not just some fuckin cameron idiot diaz or kirsten dunst. And anyone who puts that much hard work into what they do deserves respect no matter what career your in. If you were at work with your boss, and they told you no cell phones and yours goes off, im sure he'd do the same damn thing, be pissed off and tell you to turn it off. All the effort he puts into his work, he's just askin for a little appreciation.

  • I APPLAUD actors for doing this, Hugh and Patti, for one reason, people need to learn we actors of NYC and the world will not take it anymore, we work hard, you pay the money and so doesnt everyone else, STOP FUCKING BEING RUDE people, these actors deserve respect, and taking pictures, texting and not turning your ringer off is rude and is ILLEGAL!!!

  • I can't believe he stopped the show, and came out of character cause he heard a phone. That may be more acceptable during a different kind of show, but this is men't to be a show about a tragidy and blame... shoulda just kept going, the guy would have just turned it straight off if he was nt confronted about it. I'm sure.

  • i love/hate when anyone in an entertainment capacity does this. i love it because it's fun to see how an actor handles this situation and what they say! i hate it because it sours me on the actor and how i perceive them. if i was in the audience, i would not applaud. when i see a show, i leave my phone in the car. but there will always be people texting and playing phone games during a show everytime you go to a theatre. i just ignore it/them...

  • @cliffbllngs Yeah, it's rude to have your phone ringing and stuff, which is why I ALWAYS silence my phone whenever I go to a show, whether it's a movie or live theater.

Richard Griffiths (the guy who plays Vernon Dursley in the Harry Potter films) will kick your ass out if your phone goes off more than once.

  • 1. Audience member should have turned their mobile off.

    2. Hugh should have kept on going without mentioning it. Shit happens, but the show must go on.

    3. BUT WHO WAS PHONE?!?!

  • @beatnickblanket Sorry to say, LuPone is a VERY nasty, self-absorbed individual. She should have hung it up after Evita. Her ego is big enough for 5 people.

  • Hey BrainstormerXV, it has nothing to do with whether you like Jackman. What kind of an imbecile are you, anyway? By any chance are you the type of a pimple-ass nothing who would spoil a theatrical performance for others around you simply because you're a self-centered dolt?... If so, I respectfully suggest that you go scratch your ass.

  • The audience should have rallied together and pummeled the rude bastard. You pay a fortune to see these shows -- who wants to have them interrupted and spoiled because of one or two inconsiderate oafs? Honestly, people who break such rules should have their phones (or whatever) taken away from them and destroyed.

  • Hugh Jackman is an overrated actor. Get over it guys. Pathetic bloke.

  • @yourobserd i agree, but kirsten dunst is actually a brilliant actress. and cameron diaz is funny
