Reparations are bullshit! Part 2

Slavery, the slaughter of Native Americans (and the confiscation of their tribal land) and the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II are three tragedies from this nation's past. However, are those who suffered as a result of these government policies, deserving of money - lots of money? They're called "reparations" and like the Indians and the Japanese before them, today many African Americans think the Federal Government (meaning Mr. And Mrs. Tax Payer) owes them money because their ancestors were once slaves. In this episode, BULLSHIT goes inside the reparations movements and uncovers the truths about the internment of Japanese Americans, Indian Casinos and the Federal Government's long history of correcting the historical wrongs associated with its institutional racism.

Another thing a lot of these reparations whiners are forgetting; few people are 100% "white", even if we look it. The only genetic ties I have that go back further than the 20th century in North America are...get this...Native American. I also have small traces of mongolian in the family tree from when they came through what is now Russia and Estonia/Finland. Yet, I look caucasian. So, shouldn't I get reparations too? No, I wouldn't want them, because they are owed my ANCESTORS, not ME.

My anemic understanding of high school history has thousands of years of unlucky motherfuckers ending up in chains, from Hammurabi to Tamerlane, then suddenly slavery disappears from the books for four hundred years until we get into thorny discussion of the founders owning exclusively black people.
