In this video I will show you how to disassemble and reassemble your Benelli M2 Auto Shotgun. Stoeger M2000 is similar. It's not the best video, but it's done to help you all find out how fully take down your benelli for maintenance. I don't cover cleaning. Everyone has a way of cleaning things. If you like to share your comments on your choice of solutions for cleaning or an alternate take down; by all means share it. We all are benelli owners and sharing info better helps us as gun owners. The shotgun used in the video is a Benelli M2 w/ Inertia Driven® System & ComforTech® Plus System 12 gauge. Enjoy the video!

  • Hello & thank you. Makes it look easy & common sense. I am looking for a shotgun & the M2 is on the list. Would you recommend it & how easy (or difficult) is it to do a total complete cleaning job? Also, what are the capacity stats based upon what shells you are using?? THX for the Info. Sincerely, JAMES.

  • @buzzclark

It's a SUPER CHOICE! Very light recoil, dead accurate, and light.

You will not need to clean anything other than the barrel itself. That's the beauty of the Inertia Driven system. The gas exits the barrel, therefore only the barrel gets dirty. This is not a gas driven gun so all the debris starts from the chamber on out to the end of the barrel when shot. Realistically you don’t need to clean the receiver at all because again, no fowling from powder will occur.

  • Twist back/forth and pull it.

  • the screw cap thingy i dont no wat u call it but the little nipple on it is to take out the pins so u dont need the pins and hammer

  • @zippolover13

I believe that's called swivel mount for a sling to carry around your benelli.

  • how do you take the spring out of the mag tube??

  • @tjc874 I use Horseshoe Lock Ring Pliers to take out the spring.

  • that helped me and my dad a lot thanks!

  • Thank you for the Info. Now I can break down my m-2 field all the way. Thanks again!

  • I really want to thank you for making this video, I have owned a benelli M2 for the last 3 years and have only gotten as far as taking the barrel off when I clean it. Figuring out how to disassembling the rest of the shotgun has been one of those nagging feelings in the back of my head that I have really wanted to figure out. Now I can actually clean the rest of my shot gun. Thanks.

  • Picking up a Benelli M2 next week, this video was a big help in understanding my upcoming purchase, succinct and to the point.

  • you can lock the bolt to the rear of the receiver without pulling the trigger. once the gun is unloaded (which it should anyway) press the cartridge drop lever above the trigger. this will allow the bolt to lock rearward without pulling the trigger. better for the gun because shooting a gun without a dummy round or live primer causes the firing pin spring to wear more because there is no resistance. doesnt sound like a big deal but over time it could lead to a failure to fire. good vid though

  • Thanks for this Video, it was a great help for me since it was my first time taking apart my M2 tactical for the first time for cleaning...

  • hI can you tell me when you take the bolt assembly out can turn it upside down can you hear the spring sliding up and down in the assembly i can with mine was wondering if it was loose or somthing ta stephen

  • thank you so much you are so clear when your talking, now i understand how to break it down and clean it thank you soo much keep up the great work !
