Space shuttle Atlantis blasted off at 2:28 pm ET on November 16th after an uneventful countdown. The shuttle will equip the International Space Station with spare parts, that are important for the time after the Space Shuttle era. This mission is planned to last 11 days and will bring home Nicole Stott from the ISS.
It marks the 129th shuttle flight and the 31st shuttle mission to the ISS. 3 space walks are scheduled for this mission.
