Yeah, TNA having a ppv anytime near mania is very pointless. And to me, mania weekend would be the time and place to have some house shows. I'd also keep the ticket prices really cheap.
I actually just wrote an article asking if TNA should have done a show in Atlanta. So far the majority of comments on the article say that it would make TNA look pathetic and second rate.
I think the short answer to why TNA isn't in Atlanta is because people would realize what a better product ROH and even DGUSA are if they saw all three promotions that close together. TNA is the #2 company as far as cash outlay, but as anyone who has watched their shows the last few months could tell you, they are a sinking ship. IMO the crowd boos Hogan and Bischoff not because of "heat" but because they are sick of what they are doing to a promotion that was a rising star 2 short years ago
