Y'all do know that this is a cover version don't you?
Original was written and composed by Walter Donaldson and Edgar Leslie in the 20s. Waits' version is creepier than most and absolutely brilliant. The original is actually code for dancing naked a la Josephine Baker so not so scary at all ;)
