Level 7 Part 1- The Empire Strikes Back NES / Cloud City

PLEASE COMMENT! The following is part of a video-only walkthrough of "The Empire Strikes Back" title for the original Nintendo. There are ten levels total.

LEVEL 7: Cloud City
Upon arriving at Cloud City, Luke faces deadly laser beams, walkers, bounty hunters, grinders, and stormtroopers...it's a sprawling level similar to Echo Base. An AT-AT Walker must be used to pass insta-death beams...at least, the ones R2 can't shut down for you. Watch the end of the video for a glitch that allows you to take down the AT-ST before it scrolls onto the screen. It saves a lot of effort.

Most people never got through the first few levels of this flawed, but impressive NES game. As such, most online reviews and videos are done only with the first Hoth level as reference. Since few online resources even have screenshots of later levels, these videos are meant for illustrative purposes so gamers can see what they missed.

Good job posting the videos mate, brought back so many memories. I remember it was nearly impossible to get this far (unless you had a game genie or use an emulator).

Oh yeah. Those were the days when you needed more skill than anything to finish these games. They were true tests of patience as well as perseverance.

Oh man I never got this far, I usually got killed fighting the cloud cars and TIEs. So they re-used the snowtroopers and the probe droids!

The only bad part about this level was the bounty hunters. So challenging. Especially Boba Fett.
