I do like the Chrome bags despite their huge popularity. They are great bags for the price. However, being a Canuck, I'm going with a Pac because they are the best bags out there that everyone seems to be copying in one way or another(other high end bags), and I will have a bag to last a lifetime that is a little more original. Although, I'll be paying for that.
Yeah, I have one of these because I wanted something comfy to walk all over town/campus with that I didn't have to wear like a traditional backpack. Guy walks up to me in the cafeteria and does this exact thing to me. Good thing I'd left my Thinkpad in my room...
@MANPORT555 Dude just because it's a messenger style bag doesn't mean that only messengers will be using it. Most of the people I know that use chrome bags are actually students that just want a comfy bag to take to class. (The other large demographic being hipsters that like to pretend that they're actually bike messengers.)
@89skc89 easy to rob? dude where did that come from? that's not true at all, somebody would have to unlatch the two buckles then lift the thick velcro flap to get inside, there's no way you wouldn't feel that. Other packs you just have to unzip it then you're in?
@MANPORT555 chrome bags are perfect for couriers, and the "quick release" buckle is not really a hyped feature, nor a real problem at all. It just looks cool, which is obviously a factor for couriers. This style of messenger has been around for a while, and if Chrome stole from John Peters, then John Peters stole from DeMartini.
