Wow a lot of angst on here....but yeah you would hope they got more info before they arrived, that first crew were rather slack, no helmets, no air sets....so they attend stacks of alarms, so what, better luck next time boys, nice to know you have a slack SO.

You are right many calls are false alarms - but is that the fault of the NSW fire fighters? you whine that firies sleep at night - What would you suggest firies do at 2 am, when there's no calls and no PR work to do? Im sure if your home was on fire and the firies arrive fresh and ready you would say 'My heros' without the sarcasm. Get over it haters!

i agree with boring and oscar - bigdude and steve have no idea what they are taking about. i am an RFS member and have alot of respect for NSWFB. Every service plays a role, regardless of the amount/type of calls. I would be walking too - no need to waste unnecessary energy as clearly they are the second station to what appears to be a non working job.

oscar is right they probably hold a grudge. the thing is bigdude and steve you can spit in these guys faces but when your life is in need of saving they wouldnt think twice about saving it, so start showing abit of respect.

Its not only Huntingwood, that is the entire of the New South wales Fire Bragade. Maybe they should all be retained. Imagine how much many the government would save.
