@brian9827 I guess I feel that the car isn't all it's own and it should be in order to showcase its specific performance-focused technology.
-
@brian9827 Sure... it's horses for courses. I don't have a problem with this car existing and with people buying it because it suits their perspectives or idea of fun, but it's not for me.

@moto4troy he shouldn't be getting away from the cops anyway
-
@moto4troy try more like 245 miles... im not sure about you, but thats more than what i drive in a week
-
@hdidane00 you need an vision test. i think you were looking at the prius at the end, cause the tesla is awesome
-
@scaryGTM im not arguing with you, but some people like the diferences ~ instant torque, little money to run, limited maintenance, its good for the earth, and theres not many like it, mostly because they dont produce roadsters anymore.
-
Regardless of the power unit or increased torque it's still not dramatically different than the Lotus Elise on which it is based, and a used Lotus Elise is way more affordable to access. Give people a unique, thrilling product first and foremost. Throwing electric technology in manufacturer's cars is what college kids are doing across the country. Even in a niche market, the Tesla roadster is just not awesome enough to compete with the likes of a similarly-priced ZR1 Corvette and its 200 Mph.

than noise it makes when it accelerates is orgasmic

why do all the tesla roaster videos have crazy high amounts of thumbs down?
that Prius at the end probably felt pretty inadequate.

@WDPlumbing Exactly, the noise is part of the energy being lost. On top of that battery and electric motor technology is only getting better.
