My Memories Of You {A Lolena One-Shot;; Part 2}

Nina gripped onto the edge of the sink as she watched her father and daughter out in the backyard, Selena was sitting before him listening attentively almost though as If he was revealing a dark secret to her. "One day he's fine and the next day he's grumpy and can't even seem to recognize me." She turned around to Ian, who was standing before the stove throwing spices and other various foods in the pan. "I want to help him ... I just don't know how." She aggregately put her palm on her forehead, just as Ian wrapped his arms around her waist.

"The best we can do for him is just being there for him. I know you want to help, but there's nothing we can do." Ian honestly whispered into her ear.

"Maybe, it would also help if I got Sophia and Chace to come visit him. They haven't come down here since my mom's funeral." She suggested, leaning her head back against the crook of Ian's shoulder and neck. "I just don't want Chace saying something stupid that will trigger my dad."

"He won't, because I will be there to shut him up before he even says anything." Ian chuckled humorously, as he twirled Nina around to face him. "Alright?"

Nina closed her eyes as she smiled, nodding she said "You're always saving me," She leaned against him as her arms wrapped around his neck. Nina pecked his lips before she pulled her phone out from her jean's pocket and dialed Sophia's number.

"Hey, loser. What do you want?" Sophia's teasing voice spoke from the other end of the line.

"How did you and Grandma meet?" Selena anxiously held her hands together at her lap as she waited for her grandfather to continue with his romantic love story with her grandmother. She watched him while his bright blue eyes scanned over the backyard, after a few seconds he lifted up his hand and pointed towards a row of little bushes along the wall. Selena's blueish/greenish eyes trailed to the bushes, seeing all of them with an illuminating green color on their tiny leaves while the small pink flowers seemed almost as though they were popping out at you. "They're beautiful, Grandpa."

"They were Selena's favorites," Logan smiled softly "You know; I met her at a flower shop by your mother's antique store. Ahh, it was so long ago but I remember it as though it happened yesterday. You're grandmother didn't always have her white hair, you see when I met her, her hair was a shiny dark brown, it long to her waist and her hair was always curled. She loved it when it was curled. Well anyways, it was my mom's birthday and my father had sent me out to buy her a dozen roses on his behalf. When I got the flower shop I saw your grandma Selena, she was arguing with a customer." He chuckled. "They were really going at it, for just a simple flower"

"She loved flowers," Selena whispered to herself, suddenly remembering how her grandmother would always sit out here in the garden and plant flowers for hours and how she would keep them around the house because in her words they lit up her home.

"She did," Logan nodded, proudly smiling at Selena. "Especially those..." he motioned to the pink flowers.

"Dad, I have good news." Nina and Ian approached the two as they both snapped their heads towards them. Logan raised his eyebrows as he waited patiently for Nina to continue. "Sophia and Chace are stopping by tomorrow, Sophia is bringing her kids as well and Chace well he's bringing himself."

"Who's Sophia ... and Chace?" Logan confusedly inquired as he watched Ian, Nina and Selena's faces turn into surprised expressions.

"What do you mean? They're your kids, dad." Nina frowned, worriedly she glanced at Ian.

"You're my only child, sweetheart."
