hough i guess he didn't have opportunites to learn it from pioneers, i think you can benefit from learning Soul Dancing(coined by Japanese dancers; James Brown dancing, 70s' Soul Train dancing), Jazz Rock(created by French dancers), Uprocking, New Style Hiphop, House dancing, etc.

One of the reasons why i respect KIN so much is that whatever style he does, his own style is added to the original style(ex. EB's popping, Campbellock's locking, breakin, etc.) and it become totally different. You don't have to feel frustrated for searching for KIN's style. It's his own style.
