This project started as a help wanted in the Seattle parks and rec schedule of classes and events. The mural project was a very large wall with a lonely MLK, Jr. painted by ( ). The currant mural was designed around the figure of MLK by the Artist known as STAIN. STAIN hung out at the community center to get a feel of the spirit of the place and with a list of heroes/heroines written by the youth and the staff was able to research an impressive assortment of inspiring people for the design. The background ties the figures together in a cohesive togetherness. The story is read from right to left when the unbroken sword points the way to the path of future achievement. interwoven throughout the work is the inspirational words of our heroes, speaking of truth and equality.
