Very cool, we drove through there yesterday on our way back from Reno, I always take that way back home. My parents used to take us up there to Donner Lake when we were small kids, camped out in the State Park there, went swimming at the beach at the west end of the lake. In the Park the Rangers had camp fires at night and they talked about the history of the Donner Party. Back then people knew how to properly wear a baseball cap! I drove the old snow sheds, video at user sniperjdp on youtube.

Nice tour! I was just on there yesterday in an inflatable raft. It was calm and warm. Donner Lake rocks!!
