  • I fly r22's and r44's every day as an instructor. holding the cyclic by the center of the T-bar would get old fast.

  • Would get tired holding the T-bar like that for very long.

  • Hard at first, but when you learn the controls (Cyclic, Collective, Anti-Torque Pedals and Throttle) it becomes easier. At least that is how it is for me. It is great fun though

  • Dear santa.....................

  • @kvnfranks How hard is it to fly a helikopter?

  • @kvnfranks i was wondering wat the hell he was doing... do u ugys do that for students alot? my instructer just gave my the stick and only took control when we would almost die..

  • whe i get my privite helicopter license i got a deal on a r-22 for 72,000

  • @kvnfranks What is it about helicopters that cost so much. Is it all the moving parts that have to work together? Tail rotor etc. Why the $10k for insurance. I am fixed wing pilot started flying C-150 at $11/hr. Discouraging. Seems the helicopter is to be owned by successful Businesses where the owner can play with it on weekends.

  • @Malibucompany your looking at about $400,000 for the helicopter itself. Once you budget in fuel, maintenance, and a 2,200 hour overhaul your looking at an operating cost around $200 an hour. Then you need to factor in a fixed cost of about $10,000 per year for insurance. If you can afford the cost of the helicopter and the insurance they're really not that bad.

  • @kvnfranks Helicopters are expensive to keep up in general. Is that true of the Robinson line???? Just see these things as a money pit. Seems like they need to be attached to a business to be practical.

  • yeah, fine control input would probably be next to impossible. I would probably opt to get out just by the way he manipulates the controls....hands off the collective, etc. Love the lack of a two stage pickup and the constant side slip...i guess over there if you can buy it you can fly it :)

  • Cool Video.
