Andecy by Andrew York, played by me, Samantha Muir. I have always loved the relaxed, easy flow of this piece. I know my YouTube friend Sabine likes Andrew York's music, so this is for Sabine. Hope you all like it too! Photos by my friend Josie Elias. I don't know what significance the pig has (he is a Vietnamese Pot-Bellied Pig), but I thought he has a nice smile :-)

  • This tune speaks to me of someone in a new place, having a walk. He/she is experiencing new things. Some times thinking about something... a memory.... a ponder... asking "what if." And other times thinking about nothing. Simply enjoying the moment. Thank you so much for posting. :D

  • @CearaQC

Thanks for such a cool comment!

    Best wishes,

  • My favourite Andrew York piece - beautifully played, Sam! I love the relaxed

swing it has - reminds me of sitting on the back of an elephant (not a pig)

    swaying through the jungle...

Sweet smiley pig, yes... looks as though he might have a relaxed swaying gait...

    :-)Maria

  • Hi Maria! I wonder if Andrew York had that in mind when he wrote this! I've always thought of this as a travelling piece. I used to listen to it on my discman when I was on the train going up to the RCM! Thanks for watching and best wishes,

    sam :-D

  • Beautifully played--excellent.

  • @geodemetri

    Thanks for watching!

  • Wonderful piece, brilliantly played! I like it very much! Congrats and 5*!

  • Very nice, this is the first time , I heard this piece, and it is difficult not to go back and play it again.

I also see a perfect and precise playing, and a right interprétation (as in the prelude N°1 of Villa lobos). (I am not a professionnal guitar player , as I only play for my pleasure ..) I liked very much you video , keep playing !!!

Do you know where to buy the this sheet of music ? I am really interested to play it myself

  • 'Scuse my manners Sam. Great job - probably the best version on YT I've heard so far.

  • Fantastic! I'm trying desperately to learn this song and this video is a great inspiration.
