Only thanks to the heart of madness's subs that they do. Otherwise I pick out certain words I do know, but sometimes I am sooo wrong (I can't tell you how many times I thought I heard kawaii or Raoh, it was really strange)

Anime is messed up then! O_O; BTw, when he was introduced, it involved a bunch of guys thinking he was a woman, and then him slicing them up. He wasn't exactly a theif either IIRC, he was searching for the man with 7 scars, who killed his family and kidnapped his sister.

Rei got to know Toki thru Ken.
He used to be a bad guy like being a thief or something if my meomry serves me right before seeing Ken. Of course at that time he had black hair. Up untill seeing Toki his hair had been black. I don't know what 'his introduction' you've seen though. The truth is that he used to have balck hair and turned grey for some reason.
If you wanna know the truth you should read the manga to find out.

Ok, I'm not really far in the show, and that's a good explaination, but does he do that BEFORE the show? Because Rei has had white hair since his introduction, and he where I am (ep 39), he doesn't seem to know Toki. Or am I confusing what's considered "grey" on this show, and he gets the black hair later?
I can completely understand if you just say "OMFG JUST WATCH IT!", it just seems weird seeing this white haired guy with black.
