Introducing microwave home cooking, as used by NASA, via decades of radar research. It was fire that separated man from the animals by cooking his food. In the 1970s it was microwaves that began to separate man from whole foods, into reheating supermarket meals. 1971, color + sound.

  • Interesting, nostalgic documentary, but I never really cared for food cooked by microwave even though its faster. Food simply tastes better when cooked by a regular gas stove, in my opinion.

  • @krandaman1 I think he meant a stable single frequency... the first microwave oven used a RADAR quality magnetron, quite a waste for just heating food...

  • great post , thanks
