Heligoland 1947
Footage of the largest non nuclear.explosion in the world. The island was blown up for a number of reason British had to get rid of the massive ordnance she had left in her arsenal. Also to demonstrate as an experiment what man can to do changing landscapes and also to make sure that Germany could never use the island as a place

Heligoland was captured from the Danes in 1807 and was a British island for nearly 90 years. It was given back to Germany in 1897

  • These are several explosions and not a single explosion, so therefore is not the largest non nuclear explosion.

  • @bombarderoazul It was from one detonation that is the difference..

  • Blowing up an entire island? that's something i would do in Minecraft!

  • Pity - It would have made a great tourist attraction today

  • hold kæft, hvor er englænderne en samling tåber.

Bare spræng noget mere i luften, idioter!
