My M&P 15 came from the a magpul clip,but i dont have a 1st generation! I would send it back to smith and wesson

it is not class 3 it is semi auto. class 3 weapons cost 5,00 MAc11 to 70,000 M16

My MP15 is in the 25K range and it works perfectly with pmags. They drop free with no filing.

you can send it back to s&w, they will file it for you. smith made their lowers out of spec. i have quite a few PMAGS and theres no way id file all of them. im not hating on you, just my opinion. love your videos bud. peace

That sucks... I have a bushmaster ar15 and it loves the magpul Pmags. I swear by em. Best mags ever made I think.

I did a little more research on the issue and apparently it's more of a batch of rifles than an entire generation. I found some reports of MP15's with low serial numbers not reporting a problem, but some in the 50k range did have the issue.
I guess it's just a minor issue anyway. I don't think it would bother me enough to send the lower back to S&W for a free replacement.

Do you know what the serial number range is on the 1st and 2nd gen MP15's?
I have one, and I was looking at buying some more mags and was wondering if they would work on mine without modification.

Not sure but like I said it can work whether you improve the gun or the mag its an easy fix. I just buy the steel pmags they r better.
