The Race to Market Challenge ( http://www.mobilethisdeveloper.com/?mtag=seedyou ) is your chance to get in on the ground floor in the new Windows Marketplace for Mobile apps, and gain exposure to over of 30 million potential customers. Before the competition. This is your opportunity to make some money and get your name out there as an app developer -- and it wont last forever.

The sooner you submit your app, the greater your chances will be to win some cool prizes. But in reality, everyone who submits an app will be a winner, because theyll be way ahead of the competition when the Windows Marketplace for Mobile opens its doors. So while everyone else is still working on their apps, yours will already be on the shelf.

The only thing is, the longer you wait, the less time you have to get ahead of everyone else. So get started now.

  • Reminds me of "World of Goo"

  • A little hypocrisy in this story. Microsoft also will have to do some triaging before publishing apps in Windows Marketplace for Mobile. That said, some programs will also be rejected. Beside that, the prices can't be much higher than the competition; one reason of their success is "that cellphone" apps are very cheap or free. What Microsoft can do is charge less from developers (the competition charges 30%). This will cut the already low income of WinMo division.

  • Cool vid I like it.

Use the name Microsoft created "OneApp" and use it for both Windows mobile and Zune HD, and you have a winner.

People want more then just a cell phone or just a music player.

  • Good ad. I like the cartoonish animations.

  • What am i waiting for??? I'm waiting for this service to be available for developers worldwide!
