Grand Pier fire Weston

This is really sad not just to us the people of Weston but anyone who visits our town, like everyone I spent happy times on it now it burns before us and with it our memories. Weston without its pier is like Blackpool without its tower I hope its rebuilt we owe it that much.

Weston needs to pull together more than ever to get our beloved pier back.

RIP Grand Pier may you rise again.

How did the fire start?

No one really knows its suspected that it was an electrical fire in one of the towers, but it was so badly damaged the fire brigade investigators could not find anything conclusive.

I can remember when i was a kid, sat on the pier wid a ice-cream =(

i looved tht pier soo soo much wen ever me and my mates went into town we went on it and the crazy i loved tht i was only just able to go the whole way round on the wheel.

and the ghost house how funny there were gaps tht yuu could scream threw and scare other people on the ride.

ind am going to miss it so much and i an groing up in weston and me and my mates wont have anywhere to go no more.

Hmm? Bldg 7 on 9 1 1 must have been made out of beer cans? You could only see a couple floors on fire in spots and it did a full bldg collapse? This fire was HUGE and the even thinner steel frame still stood at the end????

my favourite pier in england so many memories, they had the best ghost train and fun house in history i hope they rebuild it

i no the owner of the pier hes a family friend and he was distrot about it. people have been saying that it is a chip pan or kitchen fire.

All my relatives live in Weston Super Mare, I went to visit last summer, I go on that pier every time I visit.
