i like the idea and the fact that you've noticed "Project Dread" in MP3C too. but the gun sounds just don't fit with the metroid feeling

Nice! I like the Metroid feel and mood. of course you used some of their music and sounds (which was a good fit) but I think it would be even cooler if you used your own audio and still try to achieve the Metroid feel.
