Zvezda - Song ZHURAVLI

As I already mentioned, this was a special concert, so every singer/group had a patriotic song in his repertory. Serebro this time had one of the most famous Russian songs coming out of world war II - 'Zhuravli' ('Cranes'). Originally written as a poem by Rasul Gamzatov and later became a very well known song.
Cranes have become associated with dead soldiers, because of this a big part of WWII memorials in the former Soviet Union feature the image of flying cranes.

@PrincipeSayayin I would say it is a romantic song, at least not in the ordinary way. It is about fallen soldiers not getting buried in the land, but turning into cranes and flying in the sky. beautiful and sad. This is a great performance, although I like Mark Bernes's best
