This is my 18x18x24 Exo Terra vivarium. It simulates a tropical climate with temperature gradients ranging from 27-28 to 23-24 degrees and maintains a humidity of 75-99%. It has a DIY rain system (the green hose and nozzles attached to cover glass) hooked up to an external water container. The inhabitants at the time of filming include a number of different invertebrates such as springtails, isopods and snails as well as an orchid mantis (Hymenopus coronatus).

  • Hi can you give us the names of the plants you used? And what kind of lighting you are using?By the way very nice

  • @duwwi1978 Thank you! If you want a plant list, please click the box in the video at approx. 0:07, it will show an updated video with plant info.

  • hey can a 24"x18"x24" tank sustain a group of 3 D. laucomelas and 2 D. auratus? I checked and saw they are both fairly easy to mantain, small in size, and very easy to group but I want to make sure from someone whos done this hands one....

  • @carapar56 I personally have no experience of mixing species, but given the discussions I've read over the years about it, I would suggest that you start out with a single species for at least a year or so. Believe me, a single species is enough to keep you occupied until you've accumulated experience. About the size; it does sound a bit too small for two groups of frogs anyway.

  • Nice tank, looks awesome, omegareptiles.blogspot.com

  • @DansFishChannel The mantis died several months before I bought the frogs, I wouldn't risk putting them together. Even if they probably wouldn't harm each other, they would probably stress each other.

  • @tonyingesson sorry, what i mean to askif the poison darts get along or live with mantis?

  • @tonyingesson do they get along with the mantis and eat the isopods?

  • @tonyingesson sweet. i love those little guys! oh and btw your viv is awesome!

  • @ryan12381793 It already houses two Dendrobates tinctorius "Regina", they've been living there for just over a year now.
