Keshav is 9 years old and recently did a short recital for his 4th grade class at his school in California. He is the grandson of the legendary Pandit Shiv Dayal Batish and is presently studying Indian music from his father Pandit Ashwin Kumar Batish at the Batish Institute of Indian Music and Fine Arts in Santa Cruz California USA. He enoys Indian music and along with the santoor he is practicing hard on the dilruba, sitar, dholak and congas

Yes. The instrument has 93 strings, 3 per note, for a total of 31 notes with a tuning range of up to 3 octaves. Keshav is playing a very popular folk song "Govinda Aalaa Re" in taal Dadra, a 6 beat rhythm cycle. Thank you for your comments.

interesting, It must take lots of practice to be good at a precise insterment like that, even more then the violin
I sadly dont play any insterments, I sing gregorian chant a little though by ear.
