Early Home Video Footage of Heritage USA, July 1987- Vid #5

The last of a five-part series of my personal video collection of this July 1987 trip to Heritage USA. Aside from the obvious technical problems the camera was experiencing (loss of audio throughout most of the video), you will have the opportunity to see what Main Street looked like on the inside. I know, other videos, including some of my own, do show this same scene. But, I wanted to show what it looked like with the trees all lit up, and with at least SOME people walking around.

I believe the replica street trolley still exists as it is shown in this video.

This video, unfortunately, was recorded on some very old video equipment from the mid-80's. Other videos I have uploaded are of better quality.

I haven't checked out all of your videos yet, but I'm going to, including the one from this year. I worked in the Fudge Shoppe from (I think) '85 to '87 or '88. I still live in Charlotte, but haven't been back to the Heritage site in a long while. The last time I went it was too weird seeing all the run down buildings. I am enjoying your old videos so much. I'm so glad you posted them!

Jim and Tammy had such a wonderful attention to detail at H USA. We lost something when PTL failed. Where do we go now for real wholesome family fun?

You go to a worldly amusement park today and all you see are a bunch of savage, skin-headed, tattooed, ear pierced young men dragging their scantily clad girlfreinds along with them.

I stood next to someone like this in line and I heard him spout every foul 4-letter world their was...all the while he was blowing smoke into my children's faces.

It was easy to compose it ... but it grew so big that it took 3 hours to send ... one at a time ( singly ) ...

We didn't have enough time to do that ... & we stopped ...
