  • weve got about 40 of those at my workplace

  • @Pigeon1888 I guess I was thinking of diesel-electric locomotives

  • @fyadcorp RPM does not "go up" as load increases. RPM (engine speed) = frequency of electrical output. As electrical output frequency has to remain at 50Hz or 60Hz depending on where in the world you might be, the engine must always remain at or as close as possible to 1500/1800 RPM. Fuel consumption will increase with load but as stated RPM does not "go up".

  • @Pigeon1888 please explain

  • @fyadcorp incorrect

  • @vacuumboy69 No it runs at 1800rpm constantly, so that the frequency of the electrical output is 60Hz.

There is no change in speed other than very slight speed biasing when sychronising with the grid or other generator sets.

  • Heap of snot, Cummins should stick to trucks. Go CAT!!!!!!!!

  • @vacuumboy69 yep
