  • sir...i guess veins have abundant amount of vass vasorum than the arteries...it is mentioned like that in my book of histology of gartner....

  • Thank you so much. Without your teaching I wouldn't have the success I've had this semester in my anatomy class. You have a way of explaining details that helps me to really understand. YOU ARE THE BEST!!! This is the first time I've had the highest percentage in my class.....98%.

  • Especially when you consider the relative thickness of the two.

  • I might be missing something but why should the amount of oxygen in the lumen of the vein matter? Do you think that some oxygen could pass through the intima to the muscle in the media? I doubt it.

    It makes alot more sense that there are larger vasa vasora in the arteries seeing as they have much more muscle tissue and hence need alot more oxygen to function than the veins.
