I have a 1987 spg being shipped to me , This is my first Saab and even though I am a pretty decent mechanic, I am lost . I 've looked at a lot of videos of some really nice 900's. What books do I read, what size tires and rims, boost controllers, whaletails, backwards, tilted engines. I think I'm suffering from Saab search engine disease . I need help and advice from you real Saab guys out there.

I got a question, where did you find all that for your saab, and what did you do for the transmission, and where did you find that 2.3 I hear that engine is hard to find.

That is not a 2,3 litre engine, only the old 2,0 litre engine has a 45 degree angle to the side.

Why didnt you just take a saab 900 2,1 litre intake, instead off that 9000 2,3?
I know it probably gives some more low rpm torque, but again there is more volume for the turbo to fill up.

thanks--it is off a saab 9000 n/a engine. custom powder coated and fabricated to fit.
