@JFRlance I'd like to agree with your statement, to an untrained mind it does make sense, but biologically it really holds no truth at all. take for example the human tailbone, totally useless, and its only there as a result of evolution, but yet we still have it. a better argument is that people, and other animals, have cannabinol receptors, whereas with any other drug, its altering other brain chemicals to get you high

@Halo3kicksass Well that's true, but nearly every drug comes from plants. The difference is that cannabis is consumed in its raw, natural form. Opium, Heroin, Oxy all require extraction, you cant get high by chewing poppy seeds. and cocaine, thats a joke, your only getting high because of all the ammonia and diesel gasoline they use to make it

The nervous system of every animal on this planet has an abundance of Delta-9 THC receptors. It's not the weed that gets you stoned, it is these receptors in your brain and nervous system that detect THC and get you high. Why would every animal have this if it was pointless? If they were useless, evolution would reduce the number/get rid of Delta-9 THC receptors. Invertebrates and mammals share Delta-9 THC receptors and they went different evolutionary routes over 500 million years ago.

@TheBloodyCobbler You seriously think people smoke because it's natural and safe? It's anything BUT safe with people like YOU making ridiculous laws about possession and production. I mean, look at Chong as an example- They raided his house, arrested him AND incarcerated him for 9 months, because apparently bongs contribute to terrorism somehow. People smoke to enjoy themselves, and it's 'responsible' holdouts like you that make us 'terrorists'.

Coke is not a natura plant. you have to manipulate coca leaves and add chemicals to extract what you are talking about.
