Though I love a lot of his work, this is my favourite Townes song. A gem of a gem. A gentle breeze of a melody within which blows a scattering of poetic lyrics. Beautiful.

If only the world were as beautyful as this song, there would be no war, no weapons and arms dealers, no corrupt career politicians to start the wars, no multinational corporate empires to own the aforementioned career politicians, and no misery, no exploitation of 3rd world countries, no blood money - melancholy and sadness after broken love there would be, but fuck it....
