Although in the past in history we were on opposite side, there is a big respect for Turkey in Croatia because we both beleive in One God, creator of all the universe and Turks have strong moral and religious values and strong sense of the family, same as we Cristian Catholic Croats .

I love Turkey. My wife and I have traveled there many times. We've seen more of the country than most Turks will ever see of it. Every place, every time, on every visit we've been so well treated we just want to go back. The people are thoughtful and genuine (once you get outside the Bizarres!). However, Turkey seems to be slipping farther and farther away from the civilization Ataturk instituted. They seems to be regressing and heading toward an Islamic, non-secular state. This is unfortunate.

Imagine millions of Turks flocking to Europe, that would break Europe. And let's not forget the millions of more arabs that would get access to the EU throught Turkey.
Plus Turkey has a very large and growing population, we dont need some ass backwards Islamic government with heavy influenece in the EU.
But most of all, Turkey is not part of Europe.
