@LupusAries I know, I used to play flight simulators and it really sounded good when you got the lock, now it sounds again shity... My commend was about the noise choice, which was not exactly a choice but a technical matter since the electronics of the 60s - 70s were not so advanced to easily produce a more pleasant sound (it would need a much larger heavier and needles complex circuit just to produce another sound)
@cianw10 No Lock On is not like falcon, and usually you don´t need two thirds of the buttons once you are in the air. Flight simulator is a whole different thing, as long as he speaks of the MSFS. The FSX is a major bother to get to work. Lock On is easier to fly, though the flight models are superior when it comes to fighter jets, safe for some things like the VRS F/A-18. Also you need to learn tactics and tactical flying, but you´ve got a big community that will help you.
@ntomata0002 It´s not a shity noise, it tells you how good the lock is. However you don´t fly with Sidewinders armed all the time. Trust me the original Mirage 2000 sound is way worse. You´re so used to it that with using the R-73 something feels like it´s missing.
@96therightprofile omg its the Sidwinder missile Tracker it makes a high pitch sound when lock they have that sound in the Sidewinders ever since it was made during the Vietnam War Era
The reality was quiet different, a cuban MIG-23ML damage a RAAF Mirage F1 in Angola, 1987 with a R-60 AA Rocket, the F! had to return to Namibia where he overshoot the runway and the seat ejected damaging the pilot spine.

@Boeing7e78 It is not a "Sidewinder", it is "Magic". Anyway how can a pilot concentrate with this shity noise?

@gxixn it's probably from the EFA 2.0 mod, but I dunno if that affects the Mirage. I go for the Phantom myself :P
