Parody song of the classic Dock Of The Bay by Otis Reading. Montage of balding gits... it will happen to us all one day.

  • I see you have long hair in yr profile pic (if thats really you). I bet its a wig and yourlosing yr hair too. My dad is so bald his hairstyle looks like a toilet seat.

  • No, the hair is all mine I'm afraid. If you can send a pic of your dad to Dead Horse Records I'll ask my assistant and sound engineer Jace to incorporate it in the montage. We spare no expense here to keep our fans happy and use all the most expensive recording equipment money can buy - the backing disc I sing too left me just enough for my bus fare home out of a fiver!! We are going to do PJ Proby's 'Somewhere' (The Rampton song) next and are negotiation with his management for him to sing it!

  • Now, Jo, is that a cough I hear at 0:44? lol

I love how you have incorporated the clips of the folically challenged with the lyrics. Very creative indeed. I can honestly say I never thought I would be a Waite fan. Who would have thought, huh? ;)

  • It sure is a cough you hear, I thought it enhanced the amateurishness of our work so we left it in. Not having the benefit of a recording studio and millions of pounds of kit,my trusty assistant Jace at the pc we went on the first take using Cool Edit Pro. I was using a backing disc that was slightly too high pitched so Jace dropped me in for part of the song I just couldn't reach and the volume seems to increase with it Also Jace was responsible for that great montage of baldies and not I. Jo

  • I do have John waite's (original)version of this song too.

    Best wouter

  • I had no idea that John had covered the Late Otis Reading's 'Dock of The Bay' ( this is a parody of it that 60's song). He is a pro and a great singer whereas I am merely an amateur just having a laugh with a microphone and my p.c.
