Ipolohagos Natassa

Ipolohagos Natassa 1970. BBC World Service just announced that "Patton's 7th Army and Montgomery's 8th Army are routing the Nazis and their allies in Sicily, the moment of liberation is getting near." The Greek National Anthem follows the announcement.
The Greek freedom fighters celebrate wildly, if only for a moment. They waited three long years for this announcement.
Aliki is going to be executed along with other Greek freedom fighters. Just before execution they yell defiantly: "Long live Greece, long live freedom."
What they don't know is that the execution squad is Greek freedom fighters in German uniforms.
Nikos Foskolos wrote the story and directed, Giorgos Arvanitis was the cinematographer and Kostas Kapnisis composed the music.
