Don't Wanna Be Just Friends: A JB Fanfic[[Ch.15]]part 2

Kaitlyn—Well, I'll tell you, but it's a long story. *Nick nods* Last year, I used to have a crush on him. We were good friends. I asked him out, he said yes. We went on a date together, to a basketball game. The date went absolutely great, or so I thought. I ended up sleeping over at my friend's house that night. My cell phone, when I had minutes on it, got a text message from him. It woke me up, so I read it and he had broken up with me. He didn't even give me a good explanation. I was sad for a couple of days, but I eventually got over it. *She pauses*

Nick--*thinking she's done*--so that's why you're mad at him?
Kaitlyn—Well, not really. After we broke up we decided to still try to be friends, because he was a friends with a lot of my friends, so I would be seeing him often. It was going all right, then all of a sudden he became a jerk. Every time he saw me he would start making fun of me about how he broke up with me. *Starting to get tears in her eyes* and every time he did, it felt like he was ripping a hole in my stomach. Soon, I didn't care about anything or anyone. Not even myself. I would just lye on my bed in my room crying and clutching my stomach, because it hurt so badly. I always remembered those commercials about depression, where they say it's not just emotional pain its also physical. And now I know what that feels like. *Kaitlyn starts crying again*

Nick stops walking, turns and hugs Kaitlyn very close. Kaitlyn puts her head into his shoulder and hugs him back. At the moment she is crying like mad. She finally gets a hold of her self. She lets go of Nick and turns and keeps walking, holding onto his arm.

Kaitlyn—Then a couple months ago, my mom and dad sat me down at the table and told me that I was showing symptoms of borderline depression. That's when I decided I was going to forget him. I was going to live my life the way I wanted to. I wasn't going to let that take control my life. He still talks to me and makes fun of me, but I deal with it more maturely. Besides before.

Nick—We're all learning something new today aren't we.

Kaitlyn--*laughing* Yeah. You learned I'm an emotional wreck. And I learned you're great under pressure.

Nick—It was a good decision to not let him ruin your life.

Kaitlyn--*stopping again* Nick I just want you to know, that you are making all the difference. If I hadn't found you're music, I would probably be dead right now. And you staying here with me, and not leaving me because I'm an emotional wreck, makes me feel so happy. You are one great guy.

Nick—I'm not leaving you. I'm taking you with me.

Kaitlyn—Thank you.

They kiss. Then walk to the limo that is waiting at the end of the block.
