Mark (Maxwell Caulfield) tries to make the best of the situation when Natasha (Amanda Donohoe) and Maisie (Alice Coulthard) leave for a 2 week break. A veiled dig from Cain (Jeff Hordley) reminds Mark that his wife is leaving their marriage hanging by a thread. Cain remarks that he wouldnt be surprised if Natasha didnt return a thought thats clearly praying on Marks mind. Returning to Home Farm, Marks hurt when Natasha tries to leave without saying goodbye and demands to know where he stands. Natasha admits shes fallen out of love with him, but raises Marks spirits by telling him shell be coming home. That afternoon Mark is none the wiser as Faye (Kim Thomson) and Ryan (James Sutton) move into Tennants house. Ryan questions her motives for being there, but what is Faye really planning?

Meanwhile, Debbie (Charley Webb) prepares for her holiday with Sarah (Sophia Amber Moore) and warns Cain (Jeff Hordley) not to cause trouble with Andy (Kelvin Fletcher) while theyre gone. Andy is overjoyed when Debbie allows him to join her and Sarah at the park. Cains incredulous when he sees Andy and Sarah alone together and questions Debbies sanity. Debbie asks her dad to back off and he does so reluctantly. Andy tells Diane (Elizabeth Estensen) he is determined to do everything he can to ensure hes well enough to see Sarah when she returns from her holiday. Can Andy rise above his depression?

Elsewhere, John (James Thornton) takes Adam (Adam Thomas) to begin work on the farm. As the other Bartons settle into their new home, Moira (Natalie J Robb) splits up an argument between her daughters over the bedroom situation and reminds them that theyll have to share once their nan comes to stay. John tells the family that hes been summoned for a meeting with Nathan and speculates on the reason for it. Later, the Bartons are welcomed into the pub by Diane and begin to fall under the scrutiny of their new neighbours. Will their opinion of the Emmerdale residents be a positive one?
