I cover the first half of "Chapter 8: In the Hearts of Men" in this video. The fact that there are only two Parts (as opposed to the usual three) for this Chapter implies that it's fairly short. It is, but Chapter 9 more than makes up for the short length of Chapter 8.
The fourth and final Flamethrower Weapon Upgrade is found right at the beginning of the Chapter. (0:17)
By the way, the scare with Eckhardt and the Slasher was one of the only ones that actually got me when I played through the game originally.
The rolling capabilities of the Force Gun's alternative fire (a timed grenade) is one of my favorite weapon capabilities in this game. It's very effective for knocking the legs off of Slashers and for ripping apart Leapers.
After entering Shuttle Bay 47, you can find the second Contact Beam Weapon Upgrade off in the distance but next to the shuttle. (6:22) Shortly thereafter, you can find the third Arc Welder Weapon Upgrade when looking inside of the shuttle. (6:45)
This video ends just after the big fight in Shuttle Bay 47 is done.
DAMN Nate's rather hot. |: I'm glad the PoV is now Gabe's, because I get to see more of Nate. c:

@chaaarrrliiieee I still think Nate is meant to emulate Nathan Drake, so maybe that's why he's more handsome than the average joe.

@RECON2461 True, but you must also remember that all this talk of expanding the franchise with prequels, sequels, books, movies, comics, etc, probably only really became serious after the first game sold moderately well. Mirror's Edge, another universe based off of a new IP, is a great counterexample since its universe effectively died after sales and reviews were taken into account.

"Why ME?"
"Didn't want to split the lovebirds up."
Oh, Gabe!
Why does the player have to fight these guys alone?
DarthWill3 2 months ago
@DarthWill3 Well, technically the player doesn't HAVE to, as there's two-player co-op for the entire game. Unfortunately, unlike say, House of the Dead, the second player isn't necessarily a second protagonist. The game kind of enforces it with Gabe and Nate being the two main gunmen, but it's not entirely consistent considering there are solo sequences throughout the game.
